About this
How accurate is this?
It gets you to the right category of system. Sizing needs a test. Two houses on the same street can need different capacity, because sizing is arithmetic on your actual hardness and household demand. Treat the answer as the shortlist and the test as the decision.
How do I know if I'm on a well?
Check whether you get a water bill. No bill means a private well. Most of Southwest Ranches is on wells, along with western Davie, Plantation Acres and the acreage around Parkland.
What if more than one answer fits?
Plenty of Broward homes need both a softener and a filter, because they solve different problems: one takes out calcium and magnesium, the other takes out chloramine taste and smell. Pick whichever bothers you most and we'll cover the rest at the test.
